Day 10: Sydney, NS to Charlottetown, PEI

On the Road Again... After a lovely breakfast with our very funny hosts, we hit the road to "not see" Cabot Trail, Alexander Graham Bell's town, Louisville. We took the ferry to Wood Islands, about a 1 hour ride on calm seas. We arrived around 2:00ish so we meandered up the east coast of PEI. Spotted many potato fields, and lots and lots of beaches and marinas. Checked into our B&B around 4:00... will head out for dinner (yet another Lobster feast)in town shortly. Tomorrow we are meeting with Dad's clients to play golf (hopefully, the rain will hold off for a bit). And then Dinner with them at their home. We are staying 2 nites here in Charlottetown, so dad will get a bit of a breather from driving (and mom's slow down nagging).
Had a 2 pound lobster! A big bowl of mussels to start, and yummy potato salad! Dad had pan fried sole and french fries :)

Great to be able to catch the ferry from Pictou to Wood Island, PEI. We just got on the boat and 5 minutes after we got on the ferry departed the wharf. I figured this short cut saved us about 2 extra hrs + of highway driving. Since we arrived on the island early spent about 1 1/2 hr wandering along the eastern shore line looking at local sights, Light houses etc.
Off to the Prince Water restaurant so mom can get another lobster hit. Found out Regis & Kelly actually ate dinner here as well when they were here in the summer shooting their TV show. Let you know how this turns out and how our Golf game goes tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having a good time, and eating lots of good food!! Good thing you missed Earl, we were in the office tracking it. I guess the excitement was a bit more dramatic than working on the cooking show! Ha! I'm jealous of the hot weather you seem to be having. At home, it's totally back to school weather, and I have turned off the fan in my room, for what I think is, for good. BOO!
We are almost finished for the Season, we shoot the finale episode on Saturday, so that should be exciting, and we will know who the winner will be, about 7 months before it goes to air. And since I have signed my life away, this 2 million dollar secret will remain a secret until said show is on TV!
